Jammu, Sep 16: A spokesperson for the BSF said on Saturday that SDG Y B Khurania visited the international border in the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir and assessed the security precautions the force has taken. Khurania came to this area on Friday on a three-day visit to assess the security situation along the Jammu border. According to the BSF spokesperson, BSF Inspector General (IG) D K Boora gave a thorough presentation to the SDG encompassing all important facets of border security and dominance along the borderline in Jammu.Boora stated that the deployment pattern of BSF battalions and their strong dominating elements along the International Border (IB) were part of the overall security picture in the area of operation. Khurania travelled to the Samba sector where he received information on current threats to the BSF in the region, including tunnelling and cross-border smuggling. He claimed that a focus on the dangers posed by drones arriving from the other side of the border was made. The SDG was shown several ground-level features of border dominance. According to the spokeswoman, Khurania thanked the soldiers for performing their border duties to the highest standard every single hour.
