JAMMU, Jan 10: According to sources, Nitin Agrawal, the director general of the Border Security Force (BSF), evaluated the operational readiness and security status of the troops manning the Jammu frontier’s border with Pakistan on Wednesday. While visiting regions along the International Border (IB), Agrawal also paid a visit to Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at the Raj Bhavan, providing him with an update on the security conditions along the border. Together with senior BSF personnel, the DG went over the state of security and the forces’ operational readiness.Agrawal is currently in the Jammu and Kashmir region. Inspector General D K Boora of the BSF, Jammu frontier, briefed Agrawal on the security situation in this area. On August 9 of last year, the BSF DG visited many border outposts in the Akhnoor sector of Jammu and urged the soldiers to maintain effective dominance in order to successfully tackle the challenges from across the line.
