RAJOURI, JULY 10: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat today convened a public outreach camp at Thananandi under the weekly Block Diwas program, reaffirming the commitment of the district administration to transparency, accountability, and doorstep delivery of government services.
The camp provided a platform for the public and their representatives to raise various issues, including power and water supply, healthcare facilities, roads, education, and drainage systems. The DDC, Om Prakash Bhagat, patiently listened to the concerns and assured the public that their genuine demands would be addressed in a time-bound manner.
He emphasized the dedication of the district administration to development and its efforts to provide government services at the doorstep of the general public. The DDC directed the concerned officers to take immediate measures to mitigate the problems highlighted during the camp.
Regarding the drainage system, the Executive Officer Municipal Committee Thananandi was instructed to ensure a proper drainage system within the municipal limits. The concerned Executive Engineers were also directed to ensure proper maintenance of roads during the rainy season to prevent public inconvenience.
The DDC apprised the public of various government schemes and programs launched for their welfare and urged them to come forward and avail themselves of the benefits. He exhorted the officers to work with zeal, devotion and dedication to provide facilities at the doorstep of the public.
The DDC also carried out a plantation drive in the premises of Government Boys Higher Secondary School Thananandi.
The event was attended by ADDC, Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa, SDM Thananandi Abid Hussain Shah, ACP, Sheraz Chowhan, CEO, Mohammad Mushtaq, CMO, Dr. Manohar Rana, EXEN Jal Shakti Rajouri Ashwini Sharma, EXEN PMGSY Rajouri and concerned district and sectoral officers.
