Srinagar, Nov 16: Senior BJP leader Ravinder Raina on Sunday said that the entire country shares the grief of the families who lost their loved ones in the Nowgam Police Station explosion.
Raina, along with Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma, visited the residence of tailor Mohammad Shafi in Nowgam to offer condolences.
Speaking to reporters, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, the BJP National President and the J&K BJP President have all conveyed their sorrow over the tragic incident.
“In this painful hour, the whole nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the families of the deceased,” Raina said.
He said the loss of young lives from the Valley has deeply shaken people across Jammu & Kashmir and beyond. “Anyone who heard about the Nowgam blast, which took away ten precious lives, is devastated. It is a tragedy that has pained the entire nation,” he remarked.
Raina added that the scenes inside the affected households were “heartbreaking,” and said the country salutes the young men who lost their lives in the line of duty.
