Srinagar, Sep 09: National Conference (NC) vice president and former chief minister J&K, Omar Abdullah on Monday said that the BJP’s opposition to their election manifesto shows that National Conference is headed towards right direction.
He urged people to go through the manifesto of the party, and claimed they would like it as compared to the manifestos made public by other political parties.Talking to media persons on the sidelines of an election rally in Banihal, the NC vice president said had BJP praised their manifesto, it would have pushed him into fear, but their opposition makes them aware that they are headed in the right direction.“Had BJP praised our manifesto, it would have pushed me into fear. Their (BJP) opposition and criticism make us aware we are going towards right direction. So I don’t think there is a need to talk over their utterances,” Omar Abdullah said.
Omar earlier in the morning reached Banihal to campaign in support of his party candidate from the constituency, Sajjad Shaheen.
“I have spoken what our party has mentioned in its manifesto. Let you visit our manifesto. I am hopeful if people will go through into our manifesto, they would like it, as compared to manifestos of other political parties,” Omar continued.
