BJP’s Chugh on Farooq Abdullah urging India, Pak to hold dialogue : Talks only with Indian citizens

SRINAGAR: According to BJP leader Tarun Chugh, the federal government will only speak to Indian nationals and will not discuss Kashmir with Pakistan. He was responding to a query regarding National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah’s call for talks between Islamabad and New Delhi to resolve the Kashmir issue. “Only Indian citizens shall be the subject of discussions. Why does Farooq Abdullah see Pakistan in his nightmares so frequently? Why does he sing that song about China? stated Chugh. Jammu and Kashmir was secure in India, he claimed.”No one is in control of the security of India or Jammu and Kashmir. It is not helpless to Pakistan. The people of Kashmir are progressing, and they won’t be taken in by these plots any more, he said. Mehbooba Mufti, the PDP president, was singled out by Chugh and charged with engaging in “negative politics.” She has a history of engaging in divisive politics. These three families have consistently engaged in divisive politics to poison the environment, he claimed. The BJP leader encouraged the PDP leader to “pick up a tricolour” before Independence Day after expressing amazement at the large turnout for the “tiranga tally” held by the Lieutenant Governor government on Sunday. Why did her father Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, the Union Home Minister, choose not to raise the flag at Lal Chowk, I want to know. Why did she not raise the flag when she was a chief minister and the president of the PDP? Mehbooba continues to sing the previous song. I want to let her know that she still has time to come out and get a tricolour,” he continued. Chugh claimed that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s direction, Jammu and Kashmir is making progress. “There is trust, progress, and peace. Previously, just thousands of people would turn out to vote, but today lakhs do so because they think Modi is fighting for their rights and the development of this area, he claimed. Announcing border tourism or organising protests in Jammu and Kashmir, according to Abdullah, is merely a “tamasha” (spectacle) that will continue until India and Pakistan hold sincere negotiations on the Kashmir issue. “Both nations’ hearts ought to be free of impurities. When asked if the situation in Kashmir has changed as border tourism is being promoted and tiranga rallies are being planned throughout the valley, the Srinagar MP responded, “There has been enough show-off.
