SRINAGAR: Farooq Abdullah, president of the National Conference (NC), claimed on Wednesday that the BJP has “lost” political ground and significance in Jammu and Kashmir as a result of its “anti-people policies.” Speaking to party officials at the NC headquarters here, he claimed that the BJP is nonexistent in Kashmir and has lost all political clout in the province of Jammu as well. “Due to the BJP’s anti-people policies, it has lost political footing and importance in both Jammu and Kashmir provinces. They made a lot of promises to the people of the Jammu province, but they didn’t keep them, according to Abdullah.People in the area felt duped by the BJP after it “betrayed” their trust. He claimed that people are suffering as a result of crumbling roads, lengthy power outages, a lack of access to drinkable water, and a severe shortage of teaching staff in schools. The Lok Sabha representative for Srinagar claimed that Jammu and Kashmir has endured various plots and schemes to erode its distinctive culture and history and that the NC will never permit the apologies of sectarian parties’ proxies to sow division among the populace in order to further their short-term electoral and political goals.
