Batch Of 1550 Pilgrims Leave From Jammu Base Camp for Amarnath Yatra

Jammu, July 31: On Monday, a new group of 1550 pilgrims headed for the Shri Amarnath Cave Shrine in the South Kashmir Himalayas from the Bhagwati Nagar Base Camp amid the shouts of “Bam Bam Bhole.”A convoy of 66 trucks carrying 1550 pilgrims, according to an official, departed from the base camp.
A convoy of 43 cars carrying 1068 pilgrims—847 men, 196 women, one infant, 19 Sadhus, and 5 sadhvis—departed for Pahalgam.
A convoy of 23 trucks carrying 482 pilgrims, including 158 men and six women, departed for Baltal under strict security measures.
The yatra will end on August 31 after beginning on July 1.
