Badrinath Dham decked up with 15 quintals of marigold before portals close for winter today

UTTARAKHAND: Early on Saturday morning, fifteen quintals of marigold flowers were used to decorate the Badrinath Temple. Later on Saturday, the doors to one of the most revered shrines in the nation will close for the winter. When they arrived at the Badrinath Dham on Saturday to worship, devotees praised the décor and were observed taking photos of the shrine covered in marigold flowers. The Badrinath Dham Temple Committee released an official statement that read, “The portals of Shri Badrinath Dham will be closed for winter at 3.33 pm today.” The Badrinath Dham was beautifully decorated for the Festival of Lights, making it sight to behold on Diwali night. At the temple, Deepavali was celebrated with much fanfare and pomp. To celebrate Diwalidevotees travelled to Badrinath Dham from all over the nation and the world. From early in the morning until late at night, they stood in queue to receive “darshan” of the god. The devotees participated in the Deepostav festivities after the temple’s “aarti.”
