DODA, MAY 03: In a coordinated enforcement drive, Jammu and Kashmir Pollution Control Committee (JKPCC) and Municipal Council Doda authorities today seized 3.63 quintals of banned polythene.
The joint operation was conducted at a residential house in Akarambad, Doda, where the illegal material was unlawfully stored.
The operation, supervised by Deputy Commissioner, Harvinder Singh, involved Divisional Officer JKPCC, Gurpreet Singh; Naib Tehsildar Vidya Sagar, and Executive Officer, Amit Sharma from the Municipal Council Doda. The team, which also included police personnel, worked in tandem with local authorities to carry out the seizure of the concealed polythene.
The successful operation reflects the commitment of the administration towards enforcing environmental regulations. The district authorities have taken a critical step towards reducing environmental pollution and promoting sustainability in the region.
