CS for creating a formal mechanism for regular interaction with Industries

JAMMU: Although acknowledging that MSMEs are the backbone of J&K's industrial sector, the Chief Secretary stressed the importance of giving these businesses the help they need in all areas to raise their status from lower to higher strata and create significant jobs for the state. In addition to routinely observing the allotments to guarantee the prompt operationalization of the units by the prospective entrepreneurs, he suggests setting deadlines for the completion of work on all new industrial estates. According to Dulloo, the PM Vishwakarma plan is a platform that aims to provide comprehensive support to marginalised artisans and craftsmen who perform manual labour and ought to be acknowledged and supported for their efforts. As a result, the plan needs to be properly prioritised in order to be implemented. He gave the order to help applicants register in accordance with the approved target in every way possible and to make sure that each and every one of these artisans is registered on the portal. Dulloo examined the status of GI tagging as well, and he gave advice on how to complete all required procedures to get GI tagging for the 11 goods that are in the pipeline as well as the 10 that have already been notified. Additionally, he gave time-bound instructions to increase the number of these authorised users. Of the 46 new IEs, it was revealed that NBCC and IRCON are developing seven and eight of them, while CPWD and SIDCO/SICOP are developing six of them each. The Chief Secretary gave instructions to quicken the pace and fulfil the deadlines after taking note of the problems with industrial estate development, the department's future objectives, and the capital expenditures made thus far. In addition to recording the largest-ever investment of Rs 2153.45 Cr in the previous fiscal year, the Department has realised an investment of Rs 2079.76 Cr in the UT as of October 2023, according to the Commissioner Secretary, I&C. During this conference, other topics covered were the single window system, land development for IEs, the availability of utilities there, and problems pertaining to the Ministry of Home Affairs' flagship programmes and their standing in the UT.  Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo convened the Industries and Commerce Department's initial review to assess the department's operations and the state of the Industrial Policy's implementation in Utah. In addition to the HoDs of I&C from both Divisions of the UT, the meeting was attended by the Secretary of Industries & Commerce (I&C), the Commissioner Secretary, and the Managing Directors of the affiliated Corporations. During the discussion, Dulloo persuaded the Department to establish a formal process for bringing industrialists' issues to light and resolving them. He suggested that the forum hold regular sessions in both divisions. Promoting and advancing the interests of industry stakeholders ought to be the forum's main goal.Additionally, Dulloo placed a strong emphasis on sustaining the rate at which various industries develop while making sure that stakeholders' expectations are satisfied without difficulty. “It’s been 6 to 7 years, elections have still not happened in J&K”: Farooq Abdullah

NEW DELHI: Farooq Abdullah, the president of the National Conference, questioned on Monday why elections have not been held in Jammu and Kashmir, stating that the people living in Union Territory should receive justice in line with their status as citizens of India. Farooq Abdullah, the head of the National Conference, stated to reporters in Delhi that "Jammu and Kashmir still hasn't held elections." Six or seven years have passed. Why is it the case? We belong to India as well. Justice ought to be served to us as well." Farooq Abdullah went on to say that the INDIA bloc's parties have to step up their efforts in unison in light of the recent Assembly election outcomes in five states. "Victory and defeat are constants in life. We ought to take lessons from both wins and losses. The INDIA alliance will not be affected by this setback. We'll need to put forth more effort. Our work needs to be coordinated. We still have a ways to go," he remarked. Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to reporters prior to the start of the Parliamentary session, describing it as a "golden opportunity for opposition parties to do something constructive" and urging them not to use the House as a place to air their grievances over losing the assembly elections. "Negativity has been rejected by the nation. For my friends in the opposition, this is a fantastic opportunity. We urge and pray for the cooperation of everyone. The process has been carried out this time as well. PM Modi stated, "They should learn from this defeat, reject the idea of negativity that has been there for the last nine years, and approach the session with positivity, rather than venting their anger at defeat (in the assembly elections)." He added that strengthening the foundation of developed India and fostering public aspirations depend on the Parliament, the temple of democracy. Today marked the start of the Winter Session of the Parliament. Yesterday saw the announcement of the results of the Assembly elections in four states, with the Congress defeating the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in Telangana and the BJP winning three (Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan). On December 22, the Winter session will come to an end. [caption id="attachment_6738" align="alignnone"…
