KARGIL: According to officials today, the Army has neutralised forty-five unexploded ordnances (UXOs) in the Kargil region of Ladakh Union Territory. “To ensure safety of movement for all, DhruvaSappers’ Bomb Disposal Team successfully neutralised 45 Unexploded Ordnances (UXOs) in Kurbathang area, Kargil, working hand-in-hand with Civil Administration and @KargilPolice to secure areas around Pashkun,” a spokesperson for the Fire and Furry Corps, which is in charge of the defence of the Ladakh region, wrote on X. He continued, “The Indian Army is committed to protecting our citizens, and we will work together to ensure everyone’s safety.” Explosive ammunition such as bombs, bullets, shells, grenades, mines, and so forth that did not detonate when used but still pose a risk of detonation are known as unexploded ordnance.
