KISHTWAR: Army Commander Northern Command, Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, visited Kishtwar today to review the security scenario and assess counter-terrorism operations in the region.
Emphasizing the importance of maintaining a proactive approach, Lt Gen Sharma reiterated the Army’s unwavering commitment to peace and security in the area.
During the visit, he also took stock of the recent flood situation in Kishtwar. The Army Commander commended the swift response of Army personnel in restoring connectivity, providing essential assistance, and extending full support to the local population during the crisis.
He further lauded the close coordination between security forces and the civil administration, reaffirming that the Army remains dedicated not only to safeguarding the people but also to contributing to stability, relief, and welfare in the region.
