SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Police announced on Saturday that it had submitted a charge sheet in an arms seizure case to an NIA court in this city. Yawar Shafi Bhat, an accomplice of Arfat Yousuf Khan, and he were the two accused in this case; Bhat was killed in a clash with security personnel in 2022. The charge sheet was submitted to the Court of NIA, Srinagar, on Friday, according to a police spokeswoman. It was registered under the Arms Act and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. According to him, Bhat was a resident of Kalampora Pulwama, whilst Khan lives in Pethgam Rajpora. According to the spokesperson, the case has to do with the accused’s possession of weapons and ammunition that the Batamaloo police seized.According to him, a connection between Khan and Bhat was made over the course of the inquiry using call detail records and Internet Protocol Detail Records (IPDR). On September 30, 2022, Bhat was killed in an encounter in the Baramulla district’s Shah Mohalla Yadipora Palhallan. The case’s hearing has been scheduled for February 19, according to the spokesperson.
