Jammu, July 25: The 23rd batch of 3025 pilgrims on Tuesday Chanting ‘Bam Bam Bhole’ left from Bhagwati Nagar Base camp here for Shri Amarnath Cave Shrine in South Kashmir Himalayas.An official said that a convoy of 119 trucks carrying 3025 pilgrims departed from the base camp.
In a convoy of 81 cars, 1865 pilgrims (including 1535 men and 275 women, two children, 48 sadhus, and 5 sadhvis) departed for Pahalgam.
In a convoy of 38 vehicles, 1160 pilgrims for Baltal—735 men, 421 women, and two children—departed under strict security measures.
Beginning on July 1 and lasting until August 31, the yatra.
