JAMMU: Amit Shah Home Minister is set to address three rallies in Chenab valley today, marking the final day of campaigning for the first phase of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly polls. This is Shah’s second visit to the Jammu and Kashmir within a fortnight. The rallies will take place in Ramban, Kishtwar, and Padder on September 16, according to a senior BJP leader. Shah’s visit aims to boost the party’s prospects in Jammu. Additionally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Jammu and Kashmir again on September 25 and October 1, ahead of the second and third phases of polling, to address election rallies. Other top BJP leaders, including national president and Union minister J P Nadda and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, will also campaign in Jammu on September 20, further intensifying the party’s election efforts.
