SRINAGAR: As there isn’t expected to be any precipitation in Kashmir until December 10, the region’s nighttime temperature dropped on Sunday. The two coldest places were Gulmarg and Pahalgam, with respective temperatures of minus 3.6 and minus 2.4 degrees Celsius, according to representatives of the local meteorological authority. Nonetheless, temperatures rose above freezing in a number of locations, including Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir’s summer capital, where a low of 1.4 degrees Celsius was recorded. A minimum temperature of 2.6 degrees Celsius was recorded in Kokernag, while Kupwara recorded a temperature of 1.2 degrees Celsius. The weatherman predicts that the overcast and dry conditions will last until December 10.
