Leh, Nov 23: Dr. SD Singh Jamwal, the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) for Ladakh, wrapped up his three-day tour today through the Eastern Ladakh region near the Indo-China Line of Actual Control (LAC). According to a statement, the visit’s objectives were to evaluate the security situation and the welfare of the police officers stationed in these strategically important areas. Dr. Jamwal launched important projects aimed at strengthening police infrastructure while he was there. A Tourist Facilitation Centre and residential quarters were opened on the first day at Police Post Tangtse, demonstrating the organization’s dedication to improving amenities for visitors.The ADGP integrated sustainable practises with law enforcement by launching a solar photovoltaic plant and a tourist transit camp in Pangong. On the second day, the Police Post Chushul’s Type-II Jawan Quarter was inaugurated, and the Ladakh Police’s greenhouses in Chushul, Tangtse, and Nyoma were inspected. Dr. Jamwal visited Demjok, Tsaga, and Dungti villages on the last day and spoke with Army and ITBP personnel. He praised their commitment and recognised their critical role in preserving security and tranquilly along the border.
