SRINAGAR: Leading police and government representatives convened here on Friday to deliberate on “law and order” prior to the Supreme Court‘s decision in the Article 370 case. Anyone found engaging in mischief or abusing social media will face punitive action, according to a senior Jammu and Kashmir Police officer. For the first time, senior superintendents of police and district magistrates from the Kashmir division met jointly at PCR Kashmir under the direction of Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order, J&K, Vijay Kumar, the spokesman said. The SC’s decision in the Article 370 case on Monday is the reason for the meeting. The spokesman added that DIGs from all across Kashmir, DIG-CID, SSP, PCR Kashmir, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, IGP, and Deputy Director Intelligence Bureau were among those present at the meeting.
