SRINAGAR, Oct 5: Ashiq Hussain, Patwari, Halqa Sharifabad, District Budgam, is caught by the ACB while collecting a bribe of $100,000 for entering information in revenue records. The Anti-Corruption Bureau received a written complaint alleging that Ashiq Hussain, Patwari, Halqa Sharifabad, Budgam, is seeking a bribe of $100,000 for the online entry of the complainant’s land into the Revenue records, or Jamabandi. In order to pursue legal action against the accused public official in accordance with the pertinent legal rules, the complainant submitted a written complaint to the Anti-Corruption Bureau.After receiving the complaint, police station ACB Srinagar registered Case FIR No. 21/2023 U/S 7 PC Act 1988 and began an inquiry. A trap team was formed during the investigation. The team’s trap was successful, and the accused public worker Ashiq Hussain, Patwari, Halqa Sharifabad, Budgam was apprehended while soliciting and collecting a bribe from the complainant in the amount of $100,000. After finishing all the paperwork, he was immediately taken into custody. The matter is currently the subject of more investigation.
