BUDGAM: Tanveer Ahmad, an Assistant Engineer at the BDO office in Surasyar Chadoora, Budgam district, was captured by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) after he was found to have accepted a bribe. After receiving a complaint, the engineer was taken into custody and had a sizable quantity of cash taken from him. An investigation is still underway after a formal complaint was filed in accordance with Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. The ACB team’s successful trap operation resulted in the accused’s red-handed capture, and additional investigations are being carried out at a nearby police station.
