JAMMU: The land transfer in favour of the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), New Delhi, for the establishment of its branch in Jammu, measuring 07 Kanal 250 Sqft, was approved by the Administrative Council (AC), which convened here under the chairmanship of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. Attending the meeting were Mandeep Kumar Bhandari, the LG’s principal secretary, Atal Dulloo, the chief secretary, and advisor to the lieutenant governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar. The NCDC offers quick health assessments and laboratory-based diagnostic services to the States and Union Territories (UTs). It also offers diagnostic referral services to state health directorates, community organisations, medical colleges, and research facilities. The government’s establishment of the NCDC branch in Jammu is a significant step in offering the public, medical facilities, and health directorates in this region of Utah high-quality diagnostic services.
