For the previous few years, this process has been complicated by different legal and procedural concerns. The new regulations were developed with the intention of inspiring young people to participate in sports and supporting athletes who excel. The government’s efforts to revive sports in the Union Territory are demonstrated by the sportspeople from J&K who are recognised at the national and international level in a variety of sports categories. In order to create an environment that is supportive to the growth of sports in J&K, the government works to make these appointments an annual event. Additionally, the selection of renowned athletes as mentors would greatly aid in the training and development of young people and promote their involvement in regional, national, and international tournaments.
