JAMMU: In a mosque in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on Friday, unidentified gunmen shot and killed a terrorist sought in India, according to officials. Riyaz Ahmad alias Abu Qasim, a member of the Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist organisation that is outlawed, was one of the primary organisers of the terror attack in Dhangri on January 1. Terrorists opened fire on Dhangri village in Rajouri district, killing seven persons and injuring another 13. They also left an improvised explosive device behind, which detonated the next morning. Ahmad fled across the border in 1999 after being born in the Jammu region. The officials claimed that he was the mastermind behind the resurgence of terrorism in the bordering twin districts of Poonch and Rajouri.
