New Delhi, Jan 31: President Droupadi Murmu stated on Wednesday that the scope of India’s foreign policy has expanded significantly beyond the “constraints of the past” and that New Delhi has firmly put the nation’s interests ahead of the world even in this period of international disagreements and conflicts. Speaking during a joint session of the two houses of Parliament, Murmu stated that India’s efforts to make the African Union a permanent member of the bloc were widely recognised and that the country’s successful hosting of the historic G-20 Summit improved India’s worldwide status. The President declared, “India is a leading voice against terrorism in the world today.”She stated that the administration has positioned India as a “Vishwa-Mitra” (friend of the world) in these trying times against the backdrop of numerous conflicts and unrest throughout the world. “My government has firmly put India’s interests ahead of those of the rest of the world, even in this era of global disputes and conflicts.” In her inaugural speech in the new Parliament building, she stated, “The scope of India’s foreign policy today has gone far beyond the constraints of the past.” According to Murmu, the world was first exposed to India’s true potential through the country’s many projects, and the North East and Jammu & Kashmir were the first places in the world to witness such significant international events.Over the past ten years, there has been a shift in another typical way of thinking. Diplomatic gatherings used to take place only in Delhi’s hallways. The public’s direct engagement in this has also been guaranteed by my government,” she stated. An excellent illustration of this occurred when India presided over the G-20. She continued, “India’s approach to bringing the G-20 to the public was unparalleled. According to Murmu, the globe was grateful for the historic G-20 summit that took place in India. It is remarkable that the Delhi Declaration was adopted by all parties, despite a tumultuous atmosphere. The proclamation is based on India’s vision, which has evolved from “women led development” to environmental challenges, she said.“Efforts to secure permanent membership of the African Union in the G-20 have also been appreciated,” stated the President of India. “At this summit, the Middle East-Europe-India corridor’s development was declared. India’s maritime capabilities will be further strengthened by this corridor, the speaker stated. The Global Biofuel Alliance’s founding, according to Murmu, is a significant development since it increases India’s involvement in international problem-solving. India reacts forcefully and takes action today to support humanity in times of need. India attempts to act quickly in any problem that arises in the modern world, the speaker stated.Murmu claimed that Indians employed abroad now feel more confident thanks to the administration. “With campaigns like Operation Ganga, Operation Kaveri, and Vande Bharat, we have safely evacuated every Indian wherever a crisis occurred,” the speaker declared. She declared, “My government has worked tirelessly to spread the Indian practices of Ayurveda, Pranayam, and Yoga throughout the world.” At the United Nations Headquarters last year, delegates from 135 nations practiced yoga together. She went on, “This is a record in and of itself. “India is going to host the first Global Centre for Traditional Medicine of the World Health Organisation,” she stated.
