NAGROTA: As part of the BJP’s nationwide initiative ahead of the dedication of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, senior BJP leader Devender Singh Rana led the cleanliness drive at the historic and heritage Kol Kandoli Temple, the first stop on the pilgrimage route to the shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi ji Cave Shrine. Rana said that temples, as sanctuaries of faith, hold a special place in the hearts of every Sanatani. Interacting with the devotees, Rana stated, “It’s important we maintain these sacred spaces with utmost care and cleanliness, which is not just a physical aspect but a reflection of our devotion for the diviner”.He mentioned the BJP’s dedication to constructing the nation and said the party has always pushed people to adopt cleanliness as a way of life. As a proper response to Swachh Bharat Abhyan, he remarked, let us make our temples not just places of worship but also models of cleanliness. Let us set an example for others to follow. Devender Rana also participated in the Kanya Poojan and Havan, which were celebrated on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, a national holiday that marks the start of longer, warmer days and the conclusion of the winter solstice. Additionally, he participated in the community langer that was organised for the hordes of devotees from the nearby villages.On January 22, Prime Minister Yashasvi Narendra Modi hosted prayers and a Havan to ask God for blessings for the Sacred Pran Prathishta of the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya. On Makar Sankranti, he greeted the pious and prayed for the festival to unite people in thankfulness and joy. “Let this festival serve as a reminder to soar high in our endeavours and bring joy, prosperity, and unity to all,” stated Rana. She also mentioned that the foundation of Sanatan Dharma, which is based on the belief in Vasudeva Kutumbakam, is prayers for the well-being of humanity. He stated that India’s strength lies in its unity in diversity and that, in order to fulfil the Prime Minister’s goal of making the nation Vishwaguru with Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas, brotherhood and amity must be further fostered.
