NASHIK: As part of the Swachchata Abhiyan programme, Prime Minister Narendra Modi cleaned the grounds of the Kalaram Temple in Nashik, Maharashtra, on Friday. Images displayed the prime minister wiping the temple floor with a mop and bucket. Earlier, he performed darshan and puja at the Shree KalaRam Mandir. In addition, he conducted darshan and puja at Shree Ram Kund, which is located on the Godavari River. Ahead of the Ram Mandir at Ayodhya’s consecration ceremony, the Prime Minister called on the populace to participate in Swachhata activities, or cleanliness efforts, at temples around the nation. The Prime Minister listened to the epic story of the Ramayana, particularly the section on “Yudh Kanda” that describes Lord Ram’s journey back to Ayodhya. The PM heard the Hindi translation made by AI after it was delivered in Marathi. Images displayed the Prime Minister sitting on the floor of the temple, humming a song while a number of monks sang the Ram Bhajan. “At the Shree Kalaram Temple, I had the profound experience of hearing verses from the Bhavarth Ramayana written in Marathi by Sant Eknath Ji, eloquently narrating Prabhu Shri Ram’s triumphant return to Ayodhya,” PM Modi wrote on social media site X. This reading, full of history and dedication, was a very unique experience. The Prime Minister’s X account included multiple photos of him at the temple. “I offered prayers at the Nashik Shree Kalaram Temple. I’m feeling very blessed by the holy ambiance. An incredibly spiritual and humble experience “I prayed for my fellow Indians’ peace and well-being,” Prime Minister Modi declared.
