SRINAGAR, Dec 16: A senior BSF officer stated on Saturday that there are between 250 and 300 militants at launchpads across the border “waiting to infiltrate” Jammu and Kashmir. But the officer also said that security personnel were on guard and would stop any attempt at cross-border infiltration. Inspector General of the BSF Ashok Yadav told reporters in the south Kashmiri Pulwama district, “There are intelligence inputs that 250-300 militants are waiting at launchpads, but we and the Army have dominated all the vulnerable patches and are alert.”He declared that the courageous soldiers of the Army and BSF were vigilant in the border regions and would thwart any attempt at infiltration. “We are certain that we can thwart any attempt at infiltration,” Yadav stated. He claimed that during the past few years, there has been a stronger bond between the people of Kashmir and the security forces. He remarked, “If people work with us, we can advance developmental activities in a better way.”
