LG Sinha inaugurates 2 hospitals in Chandanwari, Baltal ahead of Amarnath Yatra

JAMMU: LG Manoj Sinha on Wednesday inaugurated two hospitals of 100 beds each in Baltal and Chandanwari built by the DRDO and the J&K administration ahead of the annual Amarnath Yatra.Officials said that the hospitals have all of the necessary contemporary amenities to treat the pilgrims. Bhupinder Kumar, the secretary for health and medical education in Jammu and Kashmir, said that the government allocated Rs 13 crore for the construction of each hospital. “It’s fantastic that twin hospitals were built in Chandanwari and Batal in just 15 days. To everyone who finished this assignment in the quickest time, I feel grateful. It was notable,” stated Sinha.He requested that the Amarnath pilgrims have the greatest facilities possible from the authorities of the Union Territory. The 62-day pilgrimage to the cave shrine, which is located in the south Kashmir Himalayas at a height of 3,880 metres, will start on July 1 and end on August 31.Two routes will be used by pilgrims to begin the yatra, the traditional 48-kilometer Nunwan path in Pahalgam, in south Kashmir, and the shorter 14-kilometer Baltal route in Ganderbal, in central Kashmir. On June 30, the first group of pilgrims will leave the Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu. Before arriving at their designated base camps in Pahalgam and Baltal, they will drive along the national route between Jammu and Srinagar.
