DODA: Due to the owner of the Assar accidental bus not adhering to the proper procedures and traffic regulations, Doda Police has filed a booking against the bus owner. On November 15, 2023, this unfortunate bus, which was travelling from Kishtwar to Jammu, had an accident at Trungal Assar that resulted in the deaths of 39 passengers and the injuries of 17. At Police Station Assar, a case FIR No. 21/2023 U/S 279/337/304-A IPC was filed, and an investigation has been conducted. In order to conduct a daily investigation into the case and determine the cause of the accident, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has also been established, led by Dy. SP DAR Doda and overseen by Addl. SP Hqrs. Doda.The owner of this unfortunate bus, Dheeraj Gupta S/o Kundan Lal Gupta R/o Narwal Pain Satwari Jammu, has been arrested by the police during the course of the investigation for failing to adhere to the proper protocols and traffic laws. The SIT established to look into the case is currently conducting additional investigation and reviewing every facet of it.
