JAMMU: Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivedi, the commander of the Northern Army, praised the troops for eliminating six terrorists in two separate, successful operations while touring soldiers stationed in the Rajouri and Kulgam districts of Jammu and Kashmir that were part of the counterterrorism grid. Five terrorists belonging to Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) were slain in Nehama village on Friday during an eighteen-hour operation; the same day, another terrorist was killed in an encounter in the Budhal area of Rajouri district. Dvivedi visited the soldiers stationed in the counterterrorism grid at Budhal in the Rajouri district of the Jammu region and Kulgam in the Anantnag district of south Kashmir on Saturday, according to a post on X by the Northern Command of the Indian Army. “The Army Cdr (commander) complimented the Cdrs (commanders), troops & @JmuKmrPolice for their meticulous planning, jointmanship & synergy, displayed in precise execution & successful conduct of operations in eliminating six terrorists & recovery of war-like stores,” the Northern Command tweeted. The Army stated that it is steadfast in its resolve to prevent terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
