MADHYA PRADESH: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stepping up his campaigning for the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, took aim at the Congress, accusing its esteemed president Mallikarjun Kharge of being controlled by a remote. Speaking at an electoral rally in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh, on Wednesday, Prime Minister Modi stated that the public must continue to be vigilant of the Congress party. “Now is the moment to stay informed about the Congress party. That party divides society, plunders impoverished people’s money, and engages in scams; to Congress, the growth of a state or the country is of little consequence. The president of Congress is operated via a remote. It is all he can do.He mistreats Sanatan when the remote is functional (Dharma). He mentioned the Pandavas and mentioned that the BJP is made up of five of them yesterday while the remote control was broken. We take pride in following the Pandavas’ way,” Prime Minister Modi remarked. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), and Income Tax (IT) as the “panch pandavas” of the BJP while speaking at a campaign rally in Thatipur, Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior. “But these are not the actual pandavas (of epic Mahabharata fame), but the ones that need to be defeated,” said Kharge. PM Narendra Modi continued his assault on the Congress, claiming that although the powerful party had power in Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan, its chief ministers were engaged in “satta” (betting) and the creation of black money. “Congress implies ‘barbaadi ki guarantee’. There is betting in Chhattisgarh and a’red journal’ of Congress atrocities in Rajasthan. The Congress made several untrue promises in the states of Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh. The party is aware that because of their history of corruption, the youth of MP don’t trust them. Farmers were promised a discharge of their loans in 2018, but after waiting for 15 months, nothing changed, he continued. He continued by saying that I ruptured every tyre on the corrupt apparatus of the Congress when the BJP formed a government in the centre in 2014. “We created a ‘trishakti’ of Aadhaar, bank accounts and mobile that Congress’ corrupt machine could not bear,” he stated. “Our commitment is to move our nation forward, not to plunder its resources. Our pledge is to increase the capabilities of our compatriots, not to get votes,” he declared. The Prime Minister went on to say that India is receiving praise from all quarters, including space. “All throughout the world, praise is being said today about India. Where no other country has gone, India’s Chandrayaan-3 has succeeded. Everyone has been talking about the G20 meeting that was conducted in India. Every day, our athletes break new marks. With your blessings, I will carry on fighting corruption,” he declared. One of the five states scheduled to hold elections in a single phase on November 17 is Madhya Pradesh. Voters will be tallied on December 3. Legislators from 230 Assembly constituencies will be chosen by voters.
