LETHPORA, Oct 28: Police head Dilbag Singh stated here on Saturday that throughout the previous five years, there has been a decrease in terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, as well as no events involving law enforcement or collateral damage. These were spoken by Singh, who would be leaving his position as director general of police on October 31. The event marked the beginning of the second phase of Operational Capability Augmentation of Police Stations (OCAP). In the second phase, 22 police stations received drone units, vehicles equipped with the newest technology and weapons, and peace and stability teams made up of 14 highly trained individuals.“We take great pride in the fact that during the course of the last five years, there has been no collateral damage.” It is an extremely happy matter. The DGP released a report card on terror, stating that 30 terror-related crime occurrences have occurred in Jammu & Kashmir this year.“Of the 21 stations chosen for the initial OCAPs phase, 17 were completely free of terror—that is, 100 percent free of dread. Four terror events happened at just four police stations: one in Pulwama and three in Srinagar. “Since these four occurrences only happened in January and February, the previous eight months have likewise been completely terror-free. Thus, for the past eight months, none of the 21 have experienced panic,” he stated. According to Singh, there have only been three incidences in the 22 police stations chosen for the second phase, all of which have occurred in Anantnag areas.“As of right now, there is no dread in any of the 12 areas where OCAPs have been implemented. 19 of these stations have not had any terror attacks in the past 12 months. Only seven police stations had seven instances, and 36 stations remained terror-free overall, he continued. According to Singh, OCAP is a police mission. He declared, “These teams will strengthen the police station’s authority and serve as a powerful arm of the SHO.” Regarding the state of affairs, Singh stated that the adversary is keeping an eye on the growing calm in Jammu and Kashmir.
