AHMEDABAD: A spy from Tarapur town in the Anand district was taken into custody by the Gujarat anti-terror team on Friday. He was a Pakistani native and had been providing Pakistani agencies with critical information. According to the ATS, military intelligence provided information about a Pakistani spy using an Indian SIM card to access WhatsApp. He was taking confidential data and infecting phones with malware. Born and raised in Pakistan, Labhshankar Maheshwari immigrated to India in 1999 and subsequently obtained Indian citizenship. His kin continues to reside in Pakistan.
