JAMMU, Jun 12: At least 11 passengers have sustained injuries after a Tata Sumo vehicle they were on board plunged into a rivulet in Mendhar in Poonch district.According to reports, eleven passengers were hurt when a Tata Sumo with the licence plate JK12 3051 went off the road and slammed into Gursai nallah.
The injured were carried away from the scene and transported to Government DH Mendhar for medical attention shortly after the tragedy.
BMO Mendhar Dr. Ashfaq Ahmad confirmed that a small number of the injured people had been sent to GMC Rajouri for special care.An FIR number 60/2023 under section 279/337 IPC has been recorded in this case, according to a police official, who stated this in the interim.
