The President expressed her gratitude to the people of Jammu and Kashmir during her speech, thanking them for their kind welcome during her maiden visit as the President of India. She was pleased to see prominent Jammu and Kashmiri people who had achieved success in many sectors present. She claimed that they have improved the standing of the entire nation as well as this particular region. According to the President, Kashmir has long been significant hub for art, culture, and education. The fourth Buddhist Council took place in Kashmir about 2000 years ago. According to scholars, Shankaracharya wrote Saundarya Lahari and Ananda Lahari in Srinagar around 1300 years ago to extol the virtues of Shakti. The teachings of Lal Ded and the counsel of Sheikh Nooruddin continue to direct humanity in the right direction. Rulers like Zain-ul-Abidin encouraged spirituality and manners. Abhinavagupta, who made outstanding contributions to both religion and literature, articulated a valuable literary idea in the tenth century that holds true in all facets of life. He had claimed that the source of all “Rasas” is “Shanta Rasa.” The President highlighted the need to maintain Jammu and Kashmir’s tradition of prioritising peace and tranquilly. The President claimed that Kashmir is taking fresh approach while still honouring its past. Progress, peace, and prosperity are now the norm. Infrastructure development, e-governance, healthcare, housing, women’s empowerment, tribal outreach, and inclusive development have all undergone significant transformation. She was pleased to learn that record-breaking 1.7 crore visitors had visited Jammu and Kashmir as of September this year. The Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, stated in his welcoming speech that the life of the Hon’ble President was inspirational. “She has devoted her life to empowering deprived sections of society and socioeconomic empowerment of women, providing them with confidence and sense of self-esteem,” he said.The largest democracy in the world will continue to be guided by her vision and ideals, the Lt Governor declared. The Lt. Governor also emphasised the UT of J&K’s growth from August 2019. “J&K’s growth trajectory since 2019 is prime example of outstanding economic advancement and inclusive development. Our main priorities are rapid expansion, infrastructure development, industrialisation, and urban and rural transformation for the benefit of the populace. Our main goal today is the general welfare of everyone. All facets of society are gaining from the growth and progress because we have been able to create an environment free from exploitation, corruption, and fear, the Lt Governor continued. At Raj Bhavan in Srinagar earlier in the day, the President spoke with local tribal groups’ members and women’s self-help groups. During the event, the Lt. Governor noted that Self Help Groups are crucial to J&K women’s socio-economic empowerment and ability to take charge of their life. For very long time, tribal tribes in J&K were marginalised. In order to transform tribal society, the government established the Forest Rights Act. Our emphasis is on holistic development to provide the community new strengths and talents, the Lt. Governor added.
