JAMMU: Jammu & Kashmir Police, along with Punjab Police, Himachal Pradesh Police, and experts from IIT Jammu, recently conducted a joint exercise on digital arrests to improve coordination in tackling cybercrime.
As per a statement, the session highlighted a case study on how Punjab Police handled digital arrest cases, sharing effective strategies for using advanced tools and cross-border cooperation to catch cybercriminals.
It said the key discussions included using AI and machine learning for cyber defense, quickly freezing fraudulent transactions, creating a shared fraud data repository, and educating judges about new cybercrime trends.
This exercise emphasized the commitment to building a safer and more secure digital environment through innovation and teamwork, the press statement said.
