JAMMU: Today, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, the district development commissioner, presided over a meeting to go over the preparations for the launch of the Ayushman Bhava campaign. This unique programme is intended to provide the general public with a variety of healthcare services, and it will run from September 1 to December 31. The campaign’s goal is to distribute Ayushman Bharat Golden Cards to qualified recipients during the course of its existence, among other things. Special activities will be held across all district development blocks to ensure effective and extensive distribution.Ayushman Melas at Community Health Centres, where specialised doctors, including psychiatrists, gynaecologists, nephrologists, paediatricians, ENT experts, and more, will give health check-ups and specific screening for various ailments, are one of the campaign’s primary highlights. To help with early diagnosis and prompt treatment of diseases and disorders, this will involve full health screenings of kids aged 0 to 18. The DDC instructed the Assistant Commissioner for Development to work closely with the Chief Medical Office during the meeting to ensure the campaign’s successful execution. To ensure the campaign’s success, he underlined the necessity of flawless collaboration between Block Development Officers and Block Medical Officers. He also emphasised the importance of ASHA staff members and Zonal Panchayat Officers to the programme. In order to effectively address the general public, the DDC requested the participation of District Development Chairpersons, Block Development Chairpersons, Sarpanches, and other representatives of the Panchayati Raj Institutions. Chief Medical Officer, Chief Planning Officer, and Assistant Commissioner Development were among the notable guests at the meeting, along with Additional Deputy Commissioner (Law & Order), Harvinder Singh.
