UDHAMPUR: A 65-year-old woman died after her house collapsed due to a mudslide in Katwalt village in Ramnagar tehsil of Udhampur district today. Kisho Devi, a resident of Bari village and the wife of Kapoora, has been identified as the deceased. When the mudslide struck her house, she was inside, and the material buried her. Locals and police located her body, which was then transported to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. Although the exact source of the mudslide is unknown, it is thought that the region’s recent heavy rainfall were to blame. The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
