Srinagar, Feb 9: According to officials on Friday, security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Sopore area have discovered two terrorist hideouts and have also retrieved a cache of weapons and ammunition. According to the officials, during the search operation that turned up the weapons and ammunition haul, two suspected terror associates were also taken into custody. They claimed that during their investigation into a terror-related case in the vicinity of the Sopore authorities Station last year, authorities found useful information.Security personnel discovered a concrete bunker when they conducted a search of the home of terrorist commander Abdul Qayoom Najar, who was killed. “During the search, weapons and ammunition, including IEDs, pistols, pistol magazines, live ammunition, and other incriminating electronic items, were recovered from a secret concrete hideout inside Abdul Rashid Najar’s residential house,” the officials stated. They claimed that after being placed under arrest, Abdul Rashid Najar, a relative of the terrorist commander who was killed, confessed to having assisted a Sopore resident named Abdul Jameel Larah in similar subversive actions.According to the officials, weapons, ammunition, and other evidence of Larah’s guilt were found during the searches of her home, and both of the accused were taken into custody.
