RAJOURI: The administration of Medical College Rajouri sent a strong message to all students pursuing medical courses at GMC Rajouri by suspending students involved in a brawl and ragging from all classes and hostels for a period of four weeks. This action set an example for all educational institutions in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir. When reached, Principal GMC Rajouri, Dr. Amarjit Bhatia, a fervent supporter of enforcing the J and K Prohibition of Ragging Act, stated that no act of indiscipline will be tolerated on college property by anyone and that the action has been taken based on the anti-ragging committee’s recommendations.He declared that although they adhere to student-friendly practices, they will not permit a small number of miscreants to sabotage the tranquil atmosphere of the campus. He urged all of the students’ parents to provide appropriate guidance and to put in great effort so that their children succeed in both their extracurricular and academic pursuits. In social circles, the administration of GMC Rajouri is highly commended for its firm stance against miscreants and raggers.
