KATHUA, Feb 20: In the Kathua area of Jammu and Kashmir, three construction workers and a load carrier driver were rescued on Tuesday after being stuck in a swollen river, according to officials. The unexpected surge in water caused by the heavy overnight rains grabbed the four individuals who had gone to work on building a bridge over the Ujh river near Kathua town, according to the officials. After several hours of frantic work, a combined police and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team raced to the location and managed to free the stranded individuals, they reported.
