4 Rescued From Flash Floods In Kathua

KATHUA, Feb 20: In the Kathua area of Jammu and Kashmir, three construction workers and load carrier driver were rescued on Tuesday after being stuck in swollen river, according to officials. The unexpected surge in water caused by the heavy overnight rains grabbed the four individuals who had gone to work on building bridge over the Ujh river near Kathua town, according to the officials. After several hours of frantic work, combined police and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team raced to the location and managed to free the stranded individuals, they reported.
