Jammu, Oct 7: In the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, four persons were detained on Saturday for their suspected involvement in an attack on a joint police and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) squad. When they were attacked during a Thursday night raid on the home of drug smuggler Mushtaq Ali alias “Kaka” in Sarore, two detectives from the police and NCB, respectively, suffered serious injuries. According to a police spokesman, the attack on the police and NCB teams resulted in the arrest of four hardened offenders, namely Mushtaq Ahmad Mohd Rashid alias Shida of Samba and Farooq Ahmad and Bashir Ahmed of Jammu. According to him, the Bari Brahmana police station has received a case under the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act.
Police teams are undertaking raids at various suspected hideouts, according to Samba Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Benam Tosh, and all attackers will soon be in jail.
