JAMMU: Near the scene of a terrorist ambush on two Army vehicles in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district that left five soldiers dead and two injured the day before, three men were discovered dead under suspicious circumstances on Friday, according to officials. According to officials, the Army detained eight individuals, including the deceased, for interrogation regarding the attack that occurred on Thursday at Dhatyar Morh, which is under the Surankote police station’s jurisdiction and lies between Dhera Ki Gali and Bufliaz. They claimed that Shabir Ahmad (32), Mohammad Showket (27), and Safeer Hussain (43), all of whom lived in the Topa Peer village of Bufliaz, died under mysterious circumstances, though it was not immediately clear why they died.Senior Superintendent of Police Vinay Kumar and Poonch Deputy Commissioner Choudhary Mohammad Yasin arrived in Bufliaz after hearing of the three men’s deaths. According to the officials, Jammu Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar is currently travelling to Surankote. Four soldiers were killed and two more were injured when three to four heavily armed terrorists attacked a Maruti Gipsy and an Army truck late on Thursday afternoon. After the attack, at least two soldiers’ bodies were reportedly defaced by the terrorists, who also took some of their weapons.
