SRINAGAR, Nov 11: Officials said three bodies were recovered from houseboats destroyed in a blaze on Dal Lake here on Saturday. Officials said the charred bodies were discovered in the early hours of Saturday near ghat number nine. They stated that the identity of the deceased was being determined. So far, the deceased included a man and a woman, with the gender of the third victim unknown. According to officials, a fire broke out early Saturday in the tourist hub of Dal Lake, destroying property worth crores of rupees. The cause of the fire, which destroyed five houseboats and an equal number of huts attached to them, was unknown at the time.
