LEH : Officer said on Tuesday, 3 people have been arrested for allegedly attacking 2 policemen in Leh, a senior police. ADGP SD Singh Jamwal held a meeting with representatives of the Kargil amid strong resentment among the locals over the attack on the local policemen by some miscreants.A gang attacked two on-duty police officers, including a sub-inspector, during the night between Sunday and Monday, gravely injuring them. According to Jamwal, “This was one of (its kind) incidents where two policemen were attacked and left injured…as far as the culprits are concerned, we have arrested three of them and efforts are on to nab the other suspects.” He claimed that this rudeness from Ladakh will be stopped by the police going outside. “Ladakh police is equipped and completely capable to uphold law and order. To protect the public’s safety and security, whether in Leh or Kargil, we will crush anti-national and anti-social groups, the ADGP declared. On Monday, P D Nitya, the senior superintendent of police in Leh, announced that eight of the suspects involved in the “violent and brutal” assault on the cops had been identified. He asked for the public’s assistance in making the arrests. She claimed that the offenders were the subject of a FIR filed in accordance with the applicable legal provisions, including a murder attempt.
