KISHTWAR: Early on Thursday morning, officials in Jammu and Kashmir reported that a magnitude 3.9 earthquake had struck the Kishtwar district. They added that there had been no reports of fatalities or property damage. The National Centre for Seismology reported that the earthquake struck at 12.38 in the morning, with its epicentre close to Kishtwar. The earthquake occurred five kilometres below sea level at latitude 33.34 degrees north and longitude 76.67 degrees.
