SRINAGAR, June 1 : On Thursday , Security forces arrested two militant associates of LeT in Baramulla district of J&K and recovered arms and ammunition from their possession, police said.A Police spokesperson said, the security forces set up a mobile vehicle checkpoint (MVCP) at the Frestihar Waripora crossing after receiving specific information about the movement of terrorists in Frestihar Kreeri hamlet.
When they saw the security forces approaching the crossing, two suspects tried to flee, but they were discreetly captured, he said.Two Chinese pistols, two magazines, and 15 pistol rounds were found after the pair was searched. They were arrested right away, he said .
Suhail Gulzar of Frestihar Kreeri and Waseem Ahmad Pata of Hudipora Rafiabad, both militant allies of LeT, were named as the apprehended suspects, he said.
According to him, an investigation is ongoing after a case was filed against them under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and the Arms Act.
