JAMMU, Jun 7: Police said, a truck rammed into a load carrier in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district on Wednesday, leaving 17 labourers, including a pregnant woman, injured.
Around nine in the morning, an accident occurred on the Jammu-Pathankot highway close to Baswai Morh that also caused damage to a concrete mixer machine.
According to them, the driver of the truck lost control and struck the load carrier conveying workers to a job.
The truck driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene following the collision, they added, adding that all of the injured were taken to a hospital and three of them were in “serious” condition.
A case has been registered.
