11 injured in matador collision near Nashri tunnel on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway

JAMMU: Atleast eleven people sustained injuries in a road accident occurred on Friday near the Nashri Tunnel along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. The incident took place in the Batote area of Ramban district after one of the matadors bearing registration number JK14A-3125 collided with another vehicle under unclear circumstances, Kashmir Bulletin (KB) reported. The injured were rushed to the Batote hospital for treatment, where a list of 11 injured persons has since been issued by the Office of the Block Medical Officer, Health and Family Welfare, Batote. The injured have been identified as Ruma Devi, W/o Omkar Singh, 50, of Karmail; Koshliya Devi, W/o Sansar Chand, 60, of Thopal; Anwar Hussain, S/o Manzoor Hussain, 33, of Ward No. 5, Batote; Kastoori Devi, W/o Kartar Singh, 55, of Karmail; Beena Devi, W/o Surjeet Singh, 35, of Karmail; Sham Devi, W/o Mulkhi Ram, 70, of Thopal; Amni Devi, W/o Shan Singh, 40, of Karmail; Mohd Amin, S/o Mohd Deen, 30, of Sana; Mushtaq Ahmad, S/o Mehandia, 30, of Dhantal; Tayab Ali, S/o Jamat Ali, 25, of Kunfar Chanderkote; Alf Din, S/o Habib Ullah, 32, of Rakhjarog. Police have taken cognizance of the incident and started investigation.
